This entry needs no other introduction other than to say it is the day that WORLD CUP PREDO finally exploded.
Nobody, neither contestant nor fan, was expecting the first OCHO to fall during Sweden-South Korea. But a study of Swedish penalty takers and former Wigan Athletic flops proved a vital edge for Latics ultra BENNO. The first OCHO was calmly slotted.
Once settled in the back of the net, that OCHO proved vital in opening the floodgates for more. No fewer than 7 (SEVEN) OCHOS were registered in the Belgium-Panama game. This was full PREDO MADNESS.
One of these OCHOS was the first ever DOUBLE OCHO in tournament play, and it was scored by early favourite BRENDAN, who correctly played his double points bonus on 3-0 and Lukaku to score. PRIMA! Also, congratulations to Liam and that man Benno who played jokers on six pointers.
We caught up with Benno after his huge haul.
Keep working Benno did - as the Tunisia-England game netted him ANOTHER OCHO for a mammoth haul of 28 POINTS IN A SINGLE DAY. This is a Predo record that we may never see beaten, even in a four game day.
Three others hit OCHO on this game - Raven, Brendan (to go along with his DOUBLE for a 25 point day), and the ever-reliable Speedie. An incredible day of point scoring.
DICE MAN, however, barely registered a point all day, and finally fell into last place as is right and proper.
The leaderboard has taken a new stretched shape after a breathless day of play. Tom H tumbles out of the top 5 after leading.
