But first we bring an interview that some will find upsetting. I spoke to the winner of Europredo, Jude, to address some headlines in the press:
Of course, a fighter like Jude is never done. Keep battling, big man.
So, about that flurry of jokers on day 3 of round 2. They weren't played on Brazil-Mexico, which is a shame for many, as it went more to the form book than the Belgium-Japan game most fancied. Randy, Zaireeka, and Bryan hit OCHOs that, if jokered, would have pushed them all cleanly into third place.
The jokers that were played on Belgium - 17 of them! - mostly netted points, though the mixed bag of scorers and the two goals scored by Japan saw no one double any more than 4 points. OCHOs by the back door? They all count.
Sweden-Switzerland, on the final day of round 2 games, saw most predoers score 0s and 1s. That said, yours truly and former top five player D Fox both hit sixes on the underrated Swedes to scrape home.
The big game of the round for the mostly British-based predoers (Predo is kind of like snooker and darts, its spiritual home is the inn) was the Colombia-England game. A new bevy of jokers - 6 of them - were played, though some were backing Colombia to win.
After a tense game - drawn - Andrew S made an OCHO that beat everyone who played jokers.
Here is the latest with 8 games to play
